PhD scholarship at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium

KU Leuven is offering a PhD scholarship through the Interfaculty Council for Development Co-operation (IRO) to enable students to do their PhD in the largest university in Flanders, Belgium. Within the framework of these IRO-scholarships, the Research Institute for Work and Society (HIVA) of the KU Leuven, Belgium, is looking for suitable candidates from Eastern or Southern Africa to carry out a PhD on innovative partnerships between old and new players in development cooperation. The proposed PhD intends to look at the growing attention for inclusive partnerships from an African perspective, and will examine, more specifically, inclusive partnerships in which private sector actors and emerging economies are involved.
An MA in Political Sciences, Social Sciences or Humanities, as well as proficiency in the English language is required. The Phd would start in October 2013.
