University of Warwick, Global Research Priority Programme on International Development

University of Warwick, Global Research Priority Programme on International Development is hosting a public lecture by Rt Hon. Justine Greening MP, the Secretary of State for International Development.
The lecture will take place at 4:40pm – 6:00pm on 1st May 2014 in the University of Warwick's Zeeman Building. The address will be followed by a drinks reception that will take place between 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
The Secretary of State will be speaking on 'The Girl Effect: why tackling gender inequality can transform the developing world'. We are hoping for a lively debate through a short Q&Aafter the speech.
After the Secretary of State's address, there will be a drinks reception in the Zeeman 'street' area outside the lecture hall. This will also feature an"International Development marketplace" showcasing research and teaching at Warwick. DfID's International Citizenship Programme and Warwick's outreach programmes will also be represented
