CALL FOR PAPERS
Following FOUR successful Knowledge Exchange conferences held in London UK, we are now hosting the 5th GKEN International Multidisciplinary Conference & Workshop events for the first time in Africa at the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on the 14th & 15th of December, followed by a workshop at Jimma University on the 17th & 18th of December 2015.
The theme for the 5th conference is “Connecting “Knowledge and Innovation” (K&I) 2015”
Global Knowledge Exchange Network (GKEN) was established in 2011 with the aim of facilitating a sustainable exchange of knowledge for African and friends of African researchers, academics, practitioners and students coming from different disciplinary backgrounds. GKEN, therefore has taken the first step to provide a platform dedicated to facilitating debates and exchange of views between various disciplines with a view to unlocking the massive potential of scientific knowledge scattered around the world.
31st of July 2015 – Deadline for submitting Abstract Papers containing author’s details
The GKEN Organizing Committee, therefore welcomes contributions on a wide range of topics, using a range of scholarly approaches including:
· theoretical papers
· PhD papers;
· Case Studies, Work-in-Progress papers & posters
· proposals for roundtable discussions
We are also interested in non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes.
Research Paper Publications
All the accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings and further revised versions of selected papers will be published in special issues of peer reviewed journals. There may also be an opportunity for edited books as well. We plan to publish ALL accepted papers within 3 months after the conference.
Key Dates
The key dates are as follows:
31st of July 2015 – Deadline for submitting papers, abstracts containing author’s details
15th September 2015 – NEW EXTENSION – Deadline for submitting full papers for conference selection has been extended.
Abstract Submission Guideline
Submissions will be judged on: originality, significance, interest, clarity, relevance, and correctness. All accepted papers will be shepherded through an editorial review process.
