There is more time for writers resident in Ghana to enter the Kofi Addo Prize for Non fiction and the Abena Korantemaa Prize for Oral History. We have extended the deadline for entries to May 30, 2016.
The two prizes will be judged by NoViolet Bulawayo, Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Yewande Omotoso, Ukamaka Olisakwe, Ndinda Kioko and Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah. Sponsorship for the prizes has been provided by MAKEDA, a boutique public relations and communications consultancy that specializes in working with the development, artistic and creative sectors.
The shortlists for the prizes will be announced alongside those for the Writivism Short Story Prize and the Okot P Bitek Prize for Poetry in Translation around the end of June and beginning of July, 2016. The winners will be awarded, five hundred dollars ($500) each.
