The Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds, is offering a fees scholarship worth £7500, to provide a unique opportunity to a student of outstanding ability, achievement and potential. The scholarship will fund 50% of the fees for a student from Africa to undertake a full-time Masters degree programme at ITS, in either of: MA Transport Economics; MSc Sustainability (Transport); MSc Transport Planning; MSc Transport Planning and the Environment; MSc (Eng) Transport Planning and Engineering. Deadline: 13 June 2013.

Gerti Hesseling Prize for best article by a younger African scholar

AEGIS seeks nominations from AEGIS centres and European-based African Studies journals for the Gerti Hesseling Prize to be awarded for the best contribution to a European African Studies journal by a younger African scholar normally based in Africa.
